How to Participate
Create social media posts on any platform of social media relating to the Quad Chat App.

Submit Posts to "http://www.appsurdity.com/#!form/c1300" or Email them to “appsurdscholarships@appsurdity.com” Including Name, Quad Pin, Phone Number, College or University, and link to social media post be sure to use the hashtag #QuadChat and or #AppsurdScholarship.

Generate buzz around posts and Likes, Shares, and Retweets.

Each applicant is free to post as often as they like however posts with paid likes or shares that are submitted are subject to be rejected by the team to count towards an applicant's total number of social media activity.
Top 10 Applicants with the most combined likes and shares from all of their submissions on september 6th 2014 will be entered into the final round where the Appsurdity team will vote on the Top 3. Each Applicant will get a 1 - 10 rating from each team member based on reach, creativity, and effort put forth during the competition. and the top 3 applicants with the highest ratings will receive a $1000 Scholarship from absurdity and an interview to intern with the company for the following summer.The winners of the 2014 Appsurd Scholarship will be announced on September 15th 2014 and will be contacted shortly after for an interview with for an internship for the following summer at the appsurdity office. Rules and regulations are subject to change at anytime.
Eligibility
All participants in The 2014 Appsurd Scholarship must be between the ages of 17 and 24 at the time of the Competition, a student in highschool or four year College or University, be a legal resident of the 50 United States, District of Columbia, or Canada. Eligibility in the Competition is void in Puerto Rico, Quebec Province, and where prohibited by law, unless otherwise noted. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
Regulations

Any applicant suspected of using any sort of automated software or product to produce social media activity will be banned and will not be considered for the scholarship nor the internship opportunity.

Posts that are submitted to the team must incorporate the Group Chat app Quad is some form

Posts that are irrelevant to the product will not be considered for submission.

Applicants must be graduating high school or have a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior status at a 4 year university.
General Provisions
Sponsors reserve the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Competition, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Sponsors’ reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Competition, as determined by Sponsors in their sole discretion. Sponsors reserve the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual they find to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Competition or to be acting in violation of these Official Contest Rules or any other promotion or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Entries using macro, robotic, script or other forms of automatic entry will be disqualified. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Competition may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsors reserve the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Should such an attempt be made, Sponsors reserve the right to seek damages from any such participant to the fullest extent of the law. All federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations apply. Sponsors’ failure to enforce any term of these Official Contest Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
By participating in the Competition, participants agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Contest Rules and by the decisions of Sponsors, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Competition.
Disputes
Participants agree that: (i) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Competition, or any prizes awarded, other than those concerning the administration of the Competition or the determination of winners, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; (ii) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Competition, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved exclusively by the United States District Court or the appropriate California State Court located in San Mateo County, California; (iii) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Competition, but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (iv) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Contest Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsors in connection with the Competition, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the state of California, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the state of California or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the state of California.
